She Almost Said No, But She’s Grateful She Didn’t
Last week I told you about my forgiveness journey and explained that forgiveness is for you, not them.
Today, I want to tell you about my friend Samantha.
Last year, she and her fiancé broke up. Samantha, being a very self-aware and highly ambitious person, went back to therapy.
In therapy, the insights came through, the self-care increased, and what had been an incredibly hard year started to feel easier to carry.
Until her ex reached out.
Then, all at once, the anger, resentment, grief, hurt and pain came flooding back, as if they'd just said goodbye.
Listening to her talk as she cooked us dinner one night she said, "I was telling my therapist, I don't want to feel this anger, I just don't know how to not feel it."
And that's when something clicked.
The next day, I called and offered her something I'd only tried a couple times.
A new protocol — The Forgiveness Protocol — I called it.
See, I wanted a way for people to work specifically on letting go and releasing after being deeply hurt.
I wanted to help people feel what I had felt on my own forgiveness journey.
So, the next day, we got on a Zoom call for 2 hours.
During that time, she didn't rehash the old story, she didn't explain for the hundredth time what had happened, and hardly mentioned his name.
These tools don't require that.
Honestly, they're really simple, powerful tools that release emotions on a subconscious level, which allows you to bypass the old stories.
Halfway through she said, "I'm almost giddy. Is that normal?" 😅
Yes. Yes it is. 😊
After all was said and done, this is how she described her experience.
"I was reluctant to try this method, mostly because I didn't want to spend two hours stewing in my sadness and anxiety. But I also knew I couldn't keep holding on to what I had been. When Brinn reassured me, again, that it wouldn't be like that, I consented and I am so grateful I did. By the end of the session, I felt so alive and awake! I've also noticed the way I talk about him has changed and I just feel different about the whole thing. It turned out to be just what I needed and the tools feel like something I can come back to time and time again."
If you're someone who's dealing with old, stuck emotions that you're ready to let go of, The Forgiveness Protocol might be the thing for you.
And right now, to celebrate its official launch, I'm offering $100 off this powerful protocol for anyone on my email list. (Yup, that's you!)
