What is True Freedom?

Around this time of year, the word freedom gets thrown around a lot.

We typically think of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the freedom to go where we want, when we want.

But how often do you think about emotional freedom

Emotional freedom is when you’re genuinely in control of your emotions.

Sh*t can hit the fan and, sure, you’ll have feelings about it, but in general, you’re able to handle whatever happens, with an appropriate response.

When the past still has a grip on us, that’s when emotions feel out of control

Or escalate to a level that no longer match the situation.

Here's the thing: if your emotional reaction feels way bigger than the moment warrants, the question is no longer what just happened? The question is what is this triggering from your past?

And believe me, I know how confining the past can be.

But, it’s not just our emotional reactions that keep us stuck.

The past also clouds our vision of the future

The past is what keeps us from being vulnerable and connecting more deeply with others. It keeps us from going after our dreams, from trying new things and from letting ourselves be truly seen.

Our past holds us back from the best parts of life.

And emotional freedom is what happens when we release and let it all go.

Emotional freedom is what happens when we forgive

And honestly? Emotional freedom isn’t as far away as you think it is.

If you want to celebrate this Fourth of July by focusing on your own emotional freedom, then I want you to have this

Use the code FORGIVENESS2026 for $100 off The Forgiveness Protocol before July 15th.

This day is about freedom, so I invite you to step into personal freedom, by putting the past in the past – for good. 🇺🇸
