How does it work?

When our nervous system is dysregulated we go into survival mode like fight, flight, freeze. When we’re in that state, we can only access a small portion of our brain. On SPECT brain scans, after we do bilateral tapping, we can see an increase of blood flow in the brain. With increased blood flow, we have more access to a larger area of the brain. This means, our nervous system no longer thinks we’re in danger so our body calms down, we become emotionally regulated and we gain new perspectives. In fact, there are many benefits, including but not limited to, increased immunity, resiliency, and clarity.

A B.R.A.I.N.S Technique session can be broken down into 5 easy steps:

  • No. All you need is to be able to tap your body. If you are unable to tap your body you can have another person, like a caregiver or friend, tap on your body for you. 

  • No. The B.R.A.I.N.S. Technique is designed to be used on acute, immediate triggers that are up to four months old.

    However, if you were recently re-triggered, we can use the technique on the recent trigger to bring immediate relief and resolution to the present situation. 

  • Yes and no. Yes, it is a tool that once it’s used, you’re able to use this technique again and again whenever you need support. That being said, there is nuance to delivering this tool and formal training is encouraged to get the full benefit. Using a certified B.R.A.I.N.S. Technique provider is encouraged until proper training is obtained.
