For The Love of Community

After being on the road the last two months, I've come to miss a lot of things from home.

While #vanlife is beautiful and exciting, it can be challenging and down right hard sometimes!

It's the little things really, like, running into someone at the grocery store, seeing someone at yoga or grabbing coffee at the drop of a hat.

These small, but meaningful connections, make up COMMUNITY.

This past month has been especially hard for us in the Sacramento community, with the loss of our dear friend, sister, mother, daughter JJ Fox.

If you had the pleasure of knowing JJ, then you know she exemplified Nurturing, Free Spirit energy.

It was as if, she didn't know any other way to be. Of course, nobody is perfect, and that's just it, she KNEW we all weren't perfect and she  CHOSE love anyway.

Lately, I've been reflecting on a Parts-of-Self model that has really helped shift my life over the past 10 years.

These 5 different parts, the inner Critic, Nurturer, Child, Free Spirit and Adult, are in each one of us.

But everyday, you get the CHOOSE which part you lead from.

So, I ask you, just like the Fox family has been asking themselves for the last month: WWJD?

What Would JJ Do?

What Would JJ Choose?

I know, for me, thinking of her has been helping me lead more from my Nurturing and Free Spirit parts, everyday.

Thank you, JJ. We love you.
