I Can’t Believe I Did That One Year Ago

One year ago today, my story was told to the world. Or at least that’s how it felt.

That’s the thing about a memoir. Unless you’re famous, the only people reading it are the ones who know you personally.

Your family. Your friends. Your old coworkers. That girl from high school who still watches all your Instagram stories.

Sure, there are more terrifying things in the world... but honestly, not many.

But then the year went on.

I had the honor of speaking to different audiences, in different states, with people from all over.

I’ll never forget a stranger walking up to me at a conference and saying, “I loved your book. Thank you for writing it.”

Another survivor.

There’s a deep sense of being seen when someone wholeheartedly relates to the art you’ve created. 🥹

It makes you feel like Picasso or something. 🤭

Anyway... this year has been wild and unexpected, to say the least!

And I want to just thank you for being here.

Some of you have been here since the very first email went out over 4 years ago.

And some of you are just joining our community.

Either way, I’m so grateful you’re here. And I can’t wait to connect more.

So, if you haven’t yet read Everything Makes Perfect Sense, here’s what you’re in for: a story about surviving a crazy and chaotic childhood, trying every healing method under the sun, and finally forgiving the person who hurt me most – not for him, but entirely for me.

It’s honest. It’s messy. And in my humble opinion, I think it’s a damn good story.

So to celebrate one year of this book being out in the world, both hardcover and paperback are 50% off for the next 24 hours.
