15 Things I have Learning from 15 Years of Running.

15 things I have learned from 15 years of running:

1.     Taking a deep breath is always possible, even when you think it’s not.

2.     When you control your breath, you control your body.

3.     The speed of one’s arms correlates with the speed of one’s legs.

4.     Posture matters.

5.     Running on natural material increases energy, running on cement decreases energy.

6.     Tuning-in and listening to your body benefits everything.

7.     Setting mini goals helps accomplish bigger goals.

8.     Pacing your own speed and not comparing to anyone else is vital.

9.     Walking is better than stopping.

10.  Red faced and sweaty is not ugly; it’s healthy, cleansing, and attractive.

11.  Fluids happen.

12.  Stretching is necessary.

13.  Internal self-talk matters.

14.  Showers feel better after runs.

15.  You always feel better after a run.
