Congratulations! You’re a movie star!

I’m currently reading the book, Sacred Selling, by Melina Abbott, a marketing and sales consultant who teaches spiritually-minded entrepreneurs how to align their businesses with their values.

Yup, that’s me folks.

In the book, she uses a great metaphor: Life is a movie and you’re the main character. Each person in your life plays a supporting role.

But you’re the star. 

The other characters come in and out of scenes, some more important than others, but there’s always a purpose. A reason. Each interaction moves the story forward.

Now, think about your favorite movies. 

Great stories often involve overcoming adversity and learning to thrive. There are plot twists, hardships and unexpected journeys. Characters have ah-ha moments, defy limitations and evolve. 

Movies without challenging situations are boring. 

The same can be said about lives.

So, if you're watching your life play out right now, and you're slogging through a challenging time, CONGRATULATIONS! Your movie is just getting good. 

You’re right where you need to be. 

Because it’s where you are. 

Every decision, choice, action and thought has directed you to this exact spot. 

And, the beauty is, if you don't like the direction of the movie, the script is yours! 

You not only have the ability to star, direct, edit, write, and produce your movie, but it’s actually the only option. That’s the way things work around here.

You decide your life and then you create it. 

This is done either with conscious intention or without much thought, leaving your subconscious to write the narrative. Yikes! 

So, I invite you to take a moment and explore your current situation. 

Do you like this scene? Do you need a costume change? Are there characters that need to exit stage left? Are there scary obstacles waiting to be destroyed? No matter what it is, the choice is yours my friend.
